MININGS.
A private letter has been received in Dunedin from Reefton stating that the stone on which the Keep-it-Dark Company is now driving is looking well. The prospects of the mine have improved, and shares are now said to be in demand. The stone coming from the Gallant mine is much better and the mine looks well. In reference to the Cumberland mine,;the letter states "this property is improving, and the outlook for shareholders is good."
