THE WALTER BENTLEY SEASON.
The reproduction of "David Garrick" and "Cramoud Brig" by tho Walter Bentley Dramatic Company secured a splendid house at the Princess Theatre last evening, and tie enthusiasm with which the performance was received was pro portionate with the extent of tho audience. In Robertson's comedy Mr Bentley's impersonation of "Little Davy" Garrick was greeted with the warm marks of approbation that his finished acting deserve, and every credit is due to Miss Hansen, Mr M'Gowan, and, indeed, to all the performers included in the cast for their share in the representation, while in the Scotch farce Mr Bentley was simply inimitable as Jock Howieson, the honest farmer, of whom he made a remarkably fine character study, and the remaining parts wero well filled. This evening the season, which has happily been one of profit to tho management as well as of pleasure to patrons of the theatre, will be brought to a close, when "Hamlet," in which Mr Bentley's principal colonal success has been achieved, will be reproduced. At the conclusion of the play Mr Bentloy will bo presented by his Worship tho Mayor, on behalf of a number of citizens, with a handsome diamond ring accompanied by an illuminated address. In order that the performance may not be unduly protracted it will commence at half-past 7.
