July 23. ■ There haa been a little stir here to-day owing to fresh discoveries along the Old Cantoir Beef, Waiporl. It appears that the parties who have been working there for some time have discovered a reef several feet thick, and which is apparently very rich. The president, vice-president, and secretary were appointed a Printing and Programme Committee. Last year's programme was adopted. It was resolved that a sheep doff trial take place, the first prize to be 21s; second, 103 fid. Entrance, 3s; five entries or no first prize. Messrs John Sutherland and William Smith are to be requested to act no judges. It was agreed to ask Messrs Wertge (of Boslyn) and Watt (of Gore) to act as judges for poultry,,&o.
