CITY POLICE COURT.

Monday, July 18.

(Before Messrs W. Gregg and R. Chisholm, J.P's.)

Drunkenness. —Two persons were dealt with for this offence.

Vagrancy.—John Scott aliu.i Wilson, a young man about IS years of age, who was charged with having insufficient lawful means of support, was sentenced to six weeks' imprisonment with hard labour.

Importuning.—For importuning passengers Margaret Williams was sent to gaol for a month.

Larceny.—Arthur Smart, the lad who was recently acquitted at the Supreme Court on a charge oF indecent assault, was charged with stealing a pair of woollen gloves, the property of Wong Lee, Fleet street. —The accused was convicted, and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon.
