Fat c-i ttle were also forward in lamer numbers than usual. Tn store sheep, ewes comprised the bulk of a bit: entry, and were mostly of average (|liality. The sale was dragging at the start, but improved, although not up to last week's values at any stage, except for good wethers And young ewes, which sold well. The entry contained a number of Marlborough and Otngo sheep, which did not meet vendors' values. Forward lambs sold at 20s 9d to 255. ordinary lambs 17s 6d to 20s 6d, cull lambs 9s to 16s 6d. fairlv good ewe lambs 21s. pond 2-tooth ewe's 32s fid to 365. ordinary 2-tooth ewes 28s 6d to 325. inferior 2-tooth owes 25s to 28s, good -I. 6 and S-tooth ewes 29s.ordinary I. 6 and .-Month ewes 2Cs to 28s. s.m. ewes 28s to 335. failing* mouthed ewes 22s 6d to 265. cull ewes 16s 9d to 19s 3d. good 4-tcoth wethers 29s 9d to 325, ordinary 4 and 6-tooth wethers 26s to 295. good 2-tooth wethers 26s to 28s 6d, inferior 2-tooth wethers 23s 6d to 255. Fat T jambs.-—3350 were yarded, compared with 6600 last week. The quality, generally was -rather inferior. A pen of twenty-five really prime sold at 365. Prime lambs 28s 6d to 33s 6d, medium 25s 9d to 28s, lighter 23s 5d to 25s 3d.

Extra prime steers to £27 2s 6d,. prime steers £2O to £25 15s, medium steers' £ls to £l9 10s. ordinary £l2 5s to £l4 15s. prime heifers £l3 17s Gd to £lB 17s Gd. lighter £8 to £l3 2s 6d. prime cows £l4 15s to £lB. lighter £ll 10s to £l4. Store Cattle. —There was a medium yarding and recent values have been maintained. In dairy cattle there was a moderate entry. Heifers sold -veil up to £l7. good dairv cows £l6 to £23. medium to £l4. In vealers. advanced rates ruled for rather indifferent quality; runners to £7 10s. gcod vealers to £4 17s Gd. small 10s to 355.

Fat Pigs. —There was a good demand for baconers. the average price being lid to lUd per lb. Porkers Is Old tils Id.

Store Pigs.—There was a good demand for a more than average-sized entry. Good stores brought to £5, small to 38s. and weaners to 30s.
