Mr E. Gerard, Official Assignee at Auckland,, has resigned in order to enter business on his own.account.
Mr William- Snow died at Outram this morning, aged 72 years. He was a former Chairman 1 of tlio Otago Education Board, and has been closely identified w-ith the progress of the Taieri. Miss B. M. Watt, M.A., lady principal of the Timaru Girls' High School, has been, given twelve months' leave •on full pay to enable her to take a sea voyage for her health. Miss Mulholland, first, assistant, takes charge. Mr Ni'nia'n. Hyslop, representing "Amber Tips'-' Tea, has arrived in tow-n, and will.remain for a day or two.
