SALVATIONIST IN HOTEL BAR.

(Pee Press Association.^ Nelson, October 17. At the Magistrate's Court at Motueka to-day the landlord of the Molueka Hotel was charged, on .the information of the captain of the Salvation Army, with assault. The circumstances were thab tho -informant went into the bar of the hotel for the purpose of taking up a collection, and when requested to leave did riot do so as expeditiously as the landlord desired, arid the latter ejected him. The magistrate held that the informant had no legal right to go into the hotel canvassing for collections, and not leaving immediately when requested to do so the landlord was justified in - ejecting him, provided no un r necessary force-was used. The information was. dismissed.
