Yesterday (Thursday) the Waimate Ploughing Association, held their annual ploughing match at Stndhohne in a paddock kindly lent by Mr J. Foley. The day was all that could be wished for, and consequently a good number turned up to see the ploughing, in which the competition was very keen, and the work of a very high-class character. Competitors came from as far north as Raugiora. and south as far as Waiarawa. The following is the list of awards :
