TARANAKI OIL.
(Pee Peess Association.) New Plymouth, August 30. ! Developments at the Taranaki Petroleum Company's No. 2 bore continue most encouraging. Drilling was resumed shortly after midnight, and at about 3 o'clock a gas vein was struck and oil commenced to flow, five or six barrels soon being saved, but, as the drilling tools were still in the well, the flow could not bo controlled, and much oil was lost.
