AGRICULTURAL CONFERENCE.

(BY TELEGRAPH.) Dunedin, November 3. The Agricultural Conference being held la largely attended. Mr Bell, of Wantwood, presides. The subjects for dlaoasslon are— The holding of an annual sesaion of an amalgamated farmers union; the redaction of railway charges on stock; the abolition of tbe duty on agricultural implements ; an amendment of the Babbit Act; intercolonial free trade ; the San Francisco service; a tax on entirea; the establishment of distilleries ; veterinary inspection. Additional subjects are to be moved as follow: That some buyers of dairy produce hwe secured all the shipping in cool chambors for the transport af butter and cheese to London, with a view to buying from farmers at their own price; that the Industry is now on too large a scale to allow suoh hole snd corner work, and any shipping company encouraging anoh schemes should be noted; and that .New Zealand produce for export be classed and branded by the Government Inspector; that the Conference disapproves of land grantß to the the Co-operative Land Company, That all moneys ■ equlred for charitable institutions be raised by the Government on the same lines as the property tax, and handed over to the virions trustees for expenditure.
