SPECIAL CABLEGRAM.
(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENTS.) London, Dec. 3. A battle is proceeding at Dewar Pass. Sydney, December 6. The Chinese establishments are dilapidated, and there is general indignation. The Government have been defeated by 41 to 22. Their resignations will be seen in immediately. The A.S.N. Company's wharf is in a state of siege. It is feared that outrages will be perpetrated. Trade is gradually resuming its ordinary aspect. Governor Robinson is finally leaving for England by the December mail. The Governor denies that he is going to either Melbourne or New Zealand. Unpleasantness has arisen owing to the cricketers having treated Bannerman, in Eneland, as a professional.
