NORTH OTAGO COURSING CLUB.

The monthly meeting of the North Otago Coursing Club took place to-day, in Mr. Balmer's room (kindly lent by that gentleman to the Club, the County Council Chambers being occupied by the members of the Comity Council). Present—The Hon. M. Holmes (President) in the chair; Messrs. Allen, Fleming, Lintott, andlionayne (Hon Secretary). The minutes of the last meeting were read and adopted. It was proposed and carried, "That the Opening Meeting on the gist May be held at Awamoa; and that the President's Meeting (Awamoa Cup), to take place on the 17th June, be run off on the Totara Estate. The Secretary was instructed to advertise for a "slipper" in the Dunedin, Christchurch, and local papers : and also to communicate with the Secretaries of the Metropolitan and Christehurch Clubs on the matter. The following gentlemen were then balloted for and elected members of the Club : G. Pdchardson and D. M'Laren, St. Andrews ; A. Perry, Timaru ; M. Milton, Kangitata; J. B. Eeid and J. F. Pveid, Elderslie ; W. Swanson, Oamaru ; 0, T. Sears, James Marshall, Caleb Moore, and Thomas Dodson, Dunedin ; C. Galbraith, Oamaru ; John Buckland, Palmerston ; and J. T. Kitching, Moa Flat. A vote of thanks to the chair closed the meeting.
