Thomas Farr was charged by Constable Donovan with having on the 4th instant, been absent from his horse and cart, and was fined 2s Gd. Robert Smart was charged by Constable Donovan witli having committed a similar offence on the 2nd instant. The defendant did not appear, and was fined 10s. BRKACII OF RATLWAIT BYE-LAWS. Emmanuel Tatten was charged with committing a broach of the .Railway Bye-laws on the % 29th March, by getting into a railway carriage while in motion ; and was lined 255. TO'RXKG A HORSE LOOSE. Ellen Cover was oharg-'d by "William Harper with unlawfully turning a horse loose upon Ribhle street, contrary to Section 34 of bye-law No II of the Municipal Corporation. After hearing the evidence, and a considerable amount of irrelevant and noisy declamation from the defendant, his "Worship inflicted a fine of Is., with costs ss. Gd.
