DUNEDIN. November 5. The opera was a great success oil Saturday night. Ten jurors were for conviction and two for acquittal in Proudfoot's case. Application is to be made to change the venue, and in support thereof some strange allegations will be made on affidavit re certain members of last jury.
Lawrence, a storeman at Fargie's, dropped down dead suddenly in the store to-day. Scarlet fever is greatly on the increase at Lawrence. Two more deaths have occurred.
