There is three feet of snow in the Schipka Pass. Suleiman Pasha reports the road unfit for the movements of troops. The visit of the Empress of Russia to Bucharest has been abandoned in consequence of the removal of the headquarters of the Russian army to Sistova.
Cleopatra's Needle, which was being conveyed from Egypt to England, has been abandoned in the Bay of Biscay during a heavy gale.
DIRECT AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Sydney, November 4.
The steamer Lyee Moon has been completely destroyed by fire lying alongside the wharf repairing. The origin of the fire is yet unknown.
