WELLINGTON TOWN HALL.

Wellington, March 14. The manner in which the plans for the Town Hall were considered and dealt with by the City Council is causing great dissatisfaction. The Council meet on Thursday, when there will be a row. There were eleven competitors. The plan sent in by Mr. Thos. Turnbull, of Wei lington, was accepted, and the second premium was awarded to Mr. W. H. Clayton. The successful design is estimated to cost LIO,OOO, if the lower storey be built of brick, and the upper of wood ; L 13,000 if of brick throughout.
