A correspondence is proceeding in the Press as to the adaptability of Kandavau as a port of call, as compared with the Bay of Islands. Melbourne, Thursday. EARTHQUAKES. Repeated shocks of earthquakes have been experienced at Maryborough. SHOOTING AT A MINING MANAGER. Mr. Sheebock, the manager of the Aberfeldie Gold-mining Company, Wood's Point, was shot in the company's office, by Charles Graves. Two of the shareholders present were slightly injured.
