WILL LEAVE NORTH

Worthy Bond For I Christchurch (From "N.Z. Truth's" Auckland Rep.) APPARENTLY everything grows at ** the Mardella stud farm, near the Otahuhu course. This establishment is conducted by Misses E. and N. Edwards, while Alan Henwood is manager and ti'ainer. In addition to young trotting stock, there is a healthy patch of lucerne, famous blue grass, all. the way from Kentucky, ancl orchids. That may seemingly be stretching it a bit, but it is nevertheless fact. Alan Henwood is the orchid specialist, and on one plant has. a healthylooking bloom. Like T'opsy, of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" fame, this orchid may have just growed, but Alan says no. and the slipper blossom is the apple of his eye. While on the subject. of the Mardella Stud, South island breeders will be interested to know that Worthy Bond w : ll shift from Otahuhu to Christchurch. His 'stall at Mardella will be taken by the new importation, Frank "Worthy ,(2.3%).
