Gold Jacket's Jog Turns To Jaunt

THROUGH FENCE (From "N.Z. Truth's" Auckland Rep.) I AST Thursday, at Alexandra Park, Gold Jacket's connections were given a mighty fright. The son of Gold Bell, while being jogged m company with Mignonne, got loose and made for the centre of the grounds. He N broke through a fence m his hurry, and after galloping around was stopped by J. Shaw. Gold Jacket was bleeding when recaptured — not badly, perhaps, but enough to disturb his trainer, L.. McMahon, and his owner, Ted Parkes. However, it was later given out that the black pacer was not injured to any extent, and that' he would be himself m a day or two. It would be unfortunate if anything should happen to Gold Jacket at this stage, as he is booked for the big money ahead. s - He is m excellent condition and ! should strip a very fit horse m | future events.
