Champion Peterwah Retires (By "The Toff.") LIAVING attained the distinction of a * * world's champion, the American trotting stallion Peterwah (4.23 4/5) is to be retired to the stud. In the autumn his owner, R. C. Fisken, sent Peterwah to Christchurch to be prepared by J. J. Kennerley for spring racing, his ambition being to send his good trotter against Revenue's mile record of 2.11 4/5. Unfortunately, just when he was m splendid buckle, Peterwah developed soreness, and as he is the kind that takes a lot of work it has been decided to allow him to. rest on his laurels. - Peterwah was bred m the United States, being by Eta wall (2.3) from Janova. He has won several races m the Dominion, and already has sired some high-class performers.
