BEAUTIFUL
Puwhero Is Worth Watching k If there is any better sight on a race-course than a 'chaser doing his work properly, "N.Z. Truth" wants t« knaw what It is. THERE is nothing more enthralling A than to witness a horse taking fences—big 1 and little— ln his stride. And there la no better Juniper In the country to watch than Puwhoro. A master jumper, he gives the pub - Ho something to enthuse over and It is no wonder that his successes are always popular. Having his first outing over the big stuff at Hawera, Puwhero won nicely, and then, burdened with a pound off twelve stone at Wanganui on Saturday last, he repeated the performance. A free goer, his rider, Allan MoDonald, always allows his mount, to stride along— and woe betide the horse that attempts to go with him! Last Saturday he gave a most spectacular display and only one mistake did he make on the journey. Puwhero is a real jumper — he can get In close and then put m the short stride — and he can stand off at what looks an impossible distance and clear the fence like a bird. Trainer Doc. Knapp Is a master with jumpers and he has a master jumper fn Puwhero. I OMINT'S people seem quietly con- *-• fldent that the daughter of Catmint only has to have the mud with her on Cornwall day to give it a decent shake. . n/TASTBR BOON Is to take the Corn- [«* wall on with Holland m the «adPdle.
