So many requests have been made to West's Pictures to rescreen their Australasian copyright copy of the Panama Canal that the local manager has at last decided to accede to the request, and will repeat the pictures of "The Great Ditch" on Monday next at the King's Theatre. The picture of "The Panama Canal" gives as • complete an illustration of the great engineering feat as possible, and patrons seeing them will leave the theatre with an excellent idea -of how' stupendous a task the making oiS the canal is. We are shown dredges, excavating huge masses of rock, the construction . of the huge gates .to control the locks, and all the various details of this feat of human skill and patience/ 'The splendid, series of pictures is so bewildering m. .. it's Variety as to baffle description. r ; A' splendid selection of dramatic.: and 'comedy items will support "The Panama 'Canali" while, as usual, 'the music^ will be a special feature..
