AORANGI WINS HANDICAP YOUNG LOOHTNVAR GAINS A THIRD. B.r Telegraph.—P.ress Asen. —Copyright. (Received August 29. 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, August 29. The weather was fine and the going good for the Rosehill races. Results of the principal races follow: DUNDAS HANDICAP, Olf seven furlongs. First Division. Amounis 1 Fujisan 2 Sharp Son 3 Fourteen starters. Amounis took charge at the top of the straight, and won Dy one and a half lengths. 1.25 —a course record. Second Division. Mullabawn 1 Pigeon Pie 2 Young Lochinvar 3 Mullabawn came on after entering the straight, and won by half a length, with Young Lochinvar two lengths away, third. 1.25 J. THREE AND FOUR-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP, First Division. Aorangi 1 Subdivision 3 Maksiccar ... 3 Twenty-one starters. Aorangi came very fast at the distance, and won by two lengths, with a short neck between second and third. 1.14. Second Division. Calmest 1 Royal Tea 2 Kurmoonah ® Twenty-one starters. Calmest took charge early, and led into the straight, and won by three lengths. There was a similar distance between second and third horses. I.IBJ.
