BLENHEIM STORES GUTTED Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, April 18. This morning a fire gutted Aloore’g grocery shop, the centre buaineeg block of th© town. Th© bock portion of the building was practically burnt out. The front shop was untouched by fire, but the stock was damaged by smoke. The brigade made a good save and _ prevented the fire spreading tp adjoining shops. The contents were insured in tbs Prudential Office for £500; the building, owned by J. H. Costellow, is believed to be insured in the State Office for £SOO. The origin of th© outbreak is unknown, but is attributed to rats.
