ARCHBISHOP’S ESCAPE AIOTOR-CYCLES IN COLLISION. Per Press Association. HASIILTON, April 18. The occupants of two motor-cars, one containing the Archbishop of New Zealand (Dr. Averill) had a sensational escape when the vehicles collided at the Raglan deviation. The Archbishop had been visiting Raglan, and was returning to Hamilton whelk the accident occurred. Both cars v*ere badly damaged. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. Dr. Averill finished the journed on a milk lorry. SERIOUSLY INJURED HASTINGS, April 17. A motor-cycle and side-car, driven by a young man named Trevor Atinnis, collided with another motor-cycle at an intersection last evening. The impact was not very serious, but just after the collision the front wheel of Alinnis’s cycle slewed round and the handle bar struck him in the groin, inflicting severe internal injuries, which necessitated his removal to hospital, where an operation was performed. His condition is serious. Thother rider was not hurt.
