Hendry took three wickets for 122, and Raj-son three for 148. Victoria have lost two wickets for 72 runs in their second innings (L«ve 22. Ponsford, in, 43). The weather was fine and the wicket good. New South Wales scored fast throughout the match. Kippax gave a magnificent display, executing many superb shots. He was never troubled by the bowling; and batted for 432 minutes. His scare is the greatest by an individual New South Wales batsman in a Sheffield Shield match. Hendry, with 247, not out, held the record that Kippax has broken. TWO WICKETS TO FALL QUEENSLAND REQUIRE 100. (Received January 26, 11.5 p.m.) BRISBANE, January 20. The match between Queensland and South Australia was resumed in hot weather on a good wicket. South Australia carried their second innings snore to 200 (Grimmett 23), making their aggregate 398. Mayes took three wickets for 38, and Noyea three for 60. Queensland, who scored 183 in their first innings, have lost eight wickets for 116 in xheir second (R. Oxenham 34, O’Connor 26).
