GAS COMPANY EMPLOYEES. The Wellington Gas Company’s employees held their annual picnic at Maidstone Park, Upper Hutt, on Tuesday, January 26th, m fine weather. The attendance was about 500, including the company's general manager, Mr M. J. Kennedy, and Mr X. Glover, secretary of the Gas Workers’ Union. The outing, with the sports provided, was thoroughly enjoyed. The children were specially catered for. The results of the sports and various competitions resulted os follow : lftOyds handicap W. COMMERCIAL PRINTING COThe Commercial Printing Co., Ltd., meld its annual picnic at Maidstone Park on Saturday last, and was thoroughly enjoyed by all the staff and the many victors that attended. Jackson; men’s consolation race, Mr A. Penly; parody competition, Alias Perry. After tea Mrs .T. T'\ Woodward presented the prizes to the successful competitors.
