Schmidt (Timaru), 1 5 Mrs Gl Lawson (New: Plymouth), 2; Constance Career, (Linwood, Christchurch), highly pommended. 1 Dolls in Character. —-Mrs S. L. Hirst ■Most Original.—Hl. T. Kinmont (Kos!yn), 1; Mrs A. M, Glynn (Oamaru), 2; Miss Violet Fynmore (Dnnedin), highly commended. Hand-made, fn Cotton, Rag, or. WOOL —Violet Fynmore (Dunedin), 1; Mrs J. T. Middlebrook (Mount Albert. Auckland). 2; Miss E. Downwood (Auckland), highly commended. Stuffed Tovs. —Mrs E. Sleigh (Maori Trill), 1 . Mass ZRoee Jackson (Rons Bay, Wellington), 2. Girls’ Section. —DoJl Dressed in Wool: Janette Ewing (Dunedin): in character, Nina Paterson (Amberley); hand-sewn* Merle Andrew (Amberley House). Mrs E. B. Millar, aged 80 years,- of Eventide Homo, Auckland, won the first prize in the competition for stuffed animals, and Mrs A. W. Hazelwood,' of St. Clair, was awarded a special prize for.a beautifully worked telephone doll.
