DESTROYED BY FIRE

LARGE BOARDINGHOUSE. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, December 8. A fire at 2 o’clock yesterday morning completely destroyed a 16-roomed boardinghouse at Kaka Point, a searside resort 14 miles from Baldutha. The proprietor, J. O. Shore, -was the only inmate at the time, and he had -barely time to escape from the burning building, which was a wooden one, and as there was no water available to fight the outbreak the building was quickly demolished. The insurance on the building amounts to £560 in the Norwich Union, and the contents, valued at

£250, are uninsured. The premises were valued at £I2OO.
