BRITISH COAL

NO MARKETS IN RUSSIA. Published in' “The Times." (Received September 2-3, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, September 22. That there is no market for British coal in Russia is tlie gist of a report forwarded to the Department of Oterseas Trade by a member of the British Mission to Moscow. This makes dismal reading for those who cherished the illusion that a great potential market existed. The report shows that the _ Soviet has the greatest difficulty in selling its own product, oven at a loss, which it is doing expressly to undercut British coal in overseas markets.
