PUREBREDS VERSUS NATIVES.
OOURSE OF 800 MILES.

(Received April 17, 5.5 p.m.) BUENOS AYRES, April 17.
A horserace of 800 miles, which will probably last a month, began here on April 15th. The course is over 20 miles on a ranch near here, and there are 23 horses engaged.
The contest is to determine whether the native Argentine horse of the paspas is superior to the best horses of pure breed.
