The Brussels correspondent of “The Pirnes” states that the Belgian Government has decided to institute the payment of birth and family allowances to its cJdpi.',_e<.e. The birth allowance is fixed at 250 francs, vnd tile family allowance will ba 50 francs a month for each of the first two ch-ldren, 40 francs for the third, and thereafter 60 francs pel cjbild. ’ The will ceaso when the child ceases to be dependent on the father.
