RIGHT TO PURCHASE SHARES. The will of the late Mr Edward Pearce, formerly a well-known Wellington citizen, who died in England last year, was recently the subject of an originating summons for interpretation before Mr Justioe MacGregor. The deoeased made a will in 191'< and gave one son the option of purchasing four-twelfths of liis shares in Levin end Co. Ltd., but the son, Arthur Edward, died m 1921, before his father. His Honour ruled that the right to exeraiae the option had not lapsed owing to the death of the son. and that it could be exercised by the son's executors, on behalf of his widow and children.
