MEDICAL ASSOCIATION

THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE.

TO BE HELD IN AUCKLAND.

The British Medical Association of New Zealand will hold its annual conference in Auckland from February 29th to March sth, inclusive. The meetings will he held in the Arts Society Buildings, Kitchener street, where Mi Carrick Robertson, the president-elect of the Auckland division of the association, will preside.

Several famous medical men from America and Australia will he present at the conference, including Dt W. L. Mayo, from the Rochester Hospital, U.S.A., and Dr Francis P. Emerson, of Boston (Mass.), a leading authority on deafness. Dr Mayo will he accompanied by a number of medical men from his clinic, and it is probable that Dr Thomas Hubbard, of Toledo, Ohio, a well-known ear, throat, and nose surgeon, will be able to attend. Two notable American medical men will contribute papers to the special eye and ear -section. It is proposed to make a special feature of the demonstration of clinical cases. An entertainment committee has been formed, which is arranging for a social evening, and a visit to Rotorua. The visitors will receive every hospitality, and their stay will be made as pleasant 03 possible.
