MILLIONS OF LOCUSTS

INVASION NEXT SUMMER, SOUTH AFRICA’S PLIGHT. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. CAPETOWN, October 11. Vast swarms, sometimes square miles in extent, are hatching out, and it is expected that they will be enormously increased when the rain comes. The Government and farmers are waging a vigorous war of destruction but the outlook for the farmers is regarded as very grave.
