“ IDEAL ” PARLOUR OPENING TO-NIGHT. To-night is the opening night of Wellington's newest and up-to-date billiard parlour, the Ideal, Raddiford street, Newtown, when the champion, Clark McConachy, will be opposed by a well-known local amateur, in a game of 750 up. This parlour is a distinct acquisition to Wellington, and lovers of the great indoor game will find their requirements well provided for. The appointments of the "Ideal" are unique, the furnishing and lighting being everything that could be desired. The proprietor has conceived the bright idea of providing (apart from the playing tables) books, magazines, and writing materials, for the comfort and convenience of patrons, the parlour conveying the atmosphere of a well-appoint-ed club. Tile champion, who is in fine form after his recent successful tour. Is well pleased with all the arrangements for the opening exhibition match, and Under the management of the genial and popular proprietor, Mr J. Moses, everything augurs well for a successful opening of the "Ideal."
