DISTRICT BOARD MEETING. BUSINESS DEALT WITH. The monthly meeting ef the Wellington District Land Board was presided over by Mr T. Brook (Commissioner of Crown Lands), the other members present being Messrs J. Dawson, J. Georgetti, H. T. Ellingham, and C. McIntyre. MISCELLANEOUS APPLICATIONS. Application by Mrs J. Rawlins for a lease of port Loughnan Settlement, area 20a 2r 24.6p.—Resolved to determine the license granted to Mr A. Youth and issue a fresh license to Mrs J. Rawlins over an area of 20a 2r 246 p at a rental of £3 per month os from 1/7/'’22Application by Mr F. Shekoleton for a lease of section 104, block 5, town of Featherston, area 1 note.—Resolved rt offer Mr F. Shekeleton a lease for a term of 14 years under section 5 of the Publio Bodies’ Leaves Act, 1008. at an annual rental of £8 10s, improvements valued at £35. Application hy Mrs B. Stephens for a lease of section 4. block 11, town of Matarod, municipal reserve, area 1 rood. —Resolved to grant a year-to-year lease to Mrs P. Stephens under section 27 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, at an annual rental of 16s.

Disposal of sections 6 to 11, 15 to 17, and 73, (Mowhianau township to be considered, area 8a 8r 2p.T-Resolved to grant a year-to-year lease to Messrs G. Gordon and H. Christie as ' tenants “in common under section 130 of the Land Act, 1908, at a rental of £ls per annum. Application by H. A. Quarterman for a lease of section 42, Matarod Suburbs, area 1 acre. Resolved 1 to approve the transfer from the Publio Trustee to H. A. Quarterman subject to the payment forthwith of the rental now owing, amounting to £1 10s lOd. Land Board to consider the disposal •of section 68, block 5, Kakahi township, area 1 rood 25 perches.—Resolved to offer the section for sale by public auction under section 123 of the Land Act, 1908, at a capital value of £55 at the first favourable opportunity. , Application by Mrs M. J. O’Connor to transfer her temporary tenancy over sections 11 and 13, Mataroa township, area 2 roods:—Resolved to approve of the transfer from Mrs M. J. O’Connor to Mrs Ada Marshall, Disposal of sections in the town of Tangimoana and Extension No. I—Resolved to approve of the applications under section 124 of the Land Act, 1908, as under; also that the deposit paid by Mr F. MISCELLANEOUS. ■ Section 10, Brownston Township, area Ir 30p: The seven year reserve, lease of the above section, held by Alexander Gdlk expires on October 31st, 1922. Resolved to offer lessee a year to year lease under Section 21 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, at s rental of 5s 6d per annum. The three year license held by Mr C. LeF. Bonore over 20 acres in block 14, Manganui, expires on September Bth, 1922.—Resolved to offer lessee a new lease for a term of four years, from September Bth, 1922, under Section 307 of the Land Act, 1908, at a rental of .£2O per annum. The Pahiatua County Council submitted a soheme of expenditure of "thirds” ao drued to ithe council to March 31st, 1922, <£B6 10s sd.—Approved. The Waitotara County Council submitted a scheme of expenditure of "thirds" accrued to the council to March 31st, 1922, <£l76 10s.—Approved. Determination of year to year lease held over section 20, block 4, Owhango Township, area 2r 4p, by James Maxwell. —Resolved to determine the license as from June 30th, 1922.

Determination of year to year license over, part Waiouru Township reserve, area 80 acres, held by Crowther and McCauley.—Resolved to determine the license as from December 31st, 1922. Determination of temporary license held by J Coe, part Tauparaha No. 2 block.—Resolved to determine the temporary tenancy held by Mr J. Coe under Section 130 of the Land Act, over the open portion of Tauparaha No. 2 block, as from August 31st, 1922. Determination of miscellaneous license granted over section 41 and Crown lands adjoining section 41, Matarda, 10a 2r.— Resolved to determine the temporary license held by Mr A. Brown, and grant a fresh one to Mrs Davey, under Section 130 of the Land Act, 1908, subject to the same conditions.

Application by Mr J. H. Dixon for the grazing rights over section 26, block 3, Makotuku S.D., area 27a 3r (Crown lands). —Resolved to grant Mr J. H. Dixon the grazing rights under Section 130 of the Land Act, 1908, also to grant him the splitting rights at the royalty recommended by the ranger, under Section 307 of the Land Act, 1908.
