MEETING OF ADVISORT BOARD. PE3 passe ASSOCIATION. NAPIER, September 1. The Advisory Board, recently formed with the object of considering means of furthering the intesnests of the Rugby game among Maoris of the Dominion, met at Napier to-night. Mr W. T. Pareta. presiding. It was decided to recommend to the New Zealand Rugby Union that for the inauguration of the scheme a North v. South Maori match be played next yearThe boundaries of the northern area will be:— North Auckland, Auckland, Bay. .of Plenty, King Country Thames Valley, Waikato, East Coast, Poverty Bay, Wairoa Sub-union. The- southern area - will comprise Hawke’s Bay, Wairarapa. Manawatn, Horowhenua, Wanganui. Taranaki, Wellington, and the South Island. Very encouraging reports were received from different centres, and the board-is most optimistic! of the ßuocees-ofi—the Echeme. It was decided to approaohrthe chiefs and chieftainesseis of different tribes with a request to give.' practical support.
