RED TRIANGLE STREET DAY
The animal Street Cay in aid of the funds', of the Wellington Y.M.C.A. takes place to-day. This effort has beeq. ,organised by an enthusiastic committee of the Cadies’ Auxiliary of the Y.M.0.A., augmented by a large number of ladies connected with the churdbaa'and' other organisations throughout the city- and suburbs. The object of the appeal is primarily to assist in the maintenance and extension of the importlant work the association is now camyinging on in its boye’ division. This department, which is under the direction of a boys’ work expert, and which'' touches boys of every class and creed, is carrying on a work that makes for character building and good citizenship. To-day the public will have the opportunity of assisting this and other useful work the association it rendering to the community. A feature of the effort will he the large quantity of spring flowers that will he , on sale at the various stalls. A particularly fine display will be that of the Lower flElutt ladies located at Kelburn avenue. Given a. fine day, there is every prospect of aucoess in every way.
