LEAGUE FOOTBALL
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The usual weekly meeting of the man. agement committee was held in the Trades-’ Hall, Vivian street, on June 26th. Present: Messrs Keegan (chairman), Snow, Burke, Jackson, Duncan, Stack, Henderson, Buekland, Martin, Trot, and C. T. White /secretary). The secretary read a letter from tho Christchurch Centre, thanking the local body for the kindness and courtesy tendered to their representatives during their recent visit to Wellington. A telegram was received from Mr J. McMahon, manager of fthe Sydney UniYersity team, stating that they were sorry they could hot make the trip to Wellington. Mr Trot was received as a delegate from the Petone Club, vice Mr Edney. It Yvas decided to give due consideration to the matter of playing an early gamo on the Petone Recreation Ground. Mr Buckingham was receivod as a delegate from, the Newtown Club. It was decided to write to South Auckland in reference to arranging a representative match in Wellington, also to ITnwho’s Bay and the West Coast in re gard to representativ-e matches.
