AMERICA REJECTS INVITATION. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Receive*! June 1, 9.55 p.m.) WASHINGTON, May 31. The State Department has announced that the United States has rejected the new invitation to participate in The Hague Conference. The Allied Ambassadors here approached Mr Hughes informally, suggesting representation on two commissions in order to deal with economic subjects according to the desires of the United States.
