SAILORS’ RESOLUTION.

A brief service of sympathy and intercession for the crew of the steamer Wiltshire was held at the Sailors Friend Society building last night, when the hymns “Eternal Father” and “Star of Peace” were sung with much feeling. At a meeting which followed the following motion was carried: — “That in the interest® of seamen who may be in distress on our rock-bound coast rocket apparatus should be provided at least in the four principal ports of New Zealand, and in others ir possible.”
