BULGARIA’S ARMY
TREATY LIMITATIONS EXCEEDED. PROBLEM FOR SUPREME COUNCIL. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received July 28, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, July 27. The “Daily Telegraph” points out that whereas the military effectives in "Bulgaria are limited iby the treaty to 20,000, inclusive, the new budget provides for 65,484, which is nearly equivalent to the 1911 strength. The gendarmerie numbers 10,000, constituting the skeleton of the real cavalry force, Raving absorbed recruits from eight cavalry regiments, including a Tnrucliinegun section. The Supreme Council is considering the matter.
