THE NELSON CARNIVAL. mi I'PVSS ASSOCIATION NELSON, March 14. Tho city is crowded with visitors for the band contest, which opened this morning. Results so far are:— BARITONE SOLO. H. E. Holdaway (Blenheim), 90 points 1 J. Dixon (St. Kilda), 84 points ... 2 J. Cummings (Wellington Watersidens), 82 points 3 The judge, Mr W. S. King; said the playing wa£ not first class, and there should be more attention; to acCffracy.
