REPAIRS TO SHIPS
WORK LOST THROUGH JOINERS? , STRIKE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received M&rch 11, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 10. In the House of Commons Colonel Leslie Wilson, replying to Lord Cureon, said that more than twenty British ships were sent to Continental ports in the last few months in consequence of the" joiners’strike. He codid not estimate the loss of wages, but the direct loss as regards repairs ranged from £SOOO to £50,000 per ship.
