TEENTHAM v. WELLINGTON. Saturday’s match will settle the 191-°-Championship of the Dominion, as Wellington has twice defeated Auckland ar-d Canterbury, while Trentham defeated Wellington on June 3rd by 21 to 5. The Trentham team for Saturday is said to be one of tho strongest announced foi years. It is as follows: — Backs—F. Roberts (All-Blacks), Packer Davidson, Bradley, Milliken, E. Roberts (N.Z.), H. M. Taylor (N.Z.). Forwards—Palmer (wing), Murphy, McQuarrie Glasgow (All-Blacks), Pooley. Ryan, Alec. McDonald (All-Blacks), am: Referee, Mr Geo. Nicholson (Auckland). MEETING OF "WELLINGTON UNION. Tha Wellington Rugby Union met last evening to discuss various business. Mr D. D. Weir presided. . Permission was granted St. Patrick a College to use Atnletic Park on October 23rd for the annual sports gathering. Hagen (Potone) and Pollock (Peneke), who were ordered off the lieid last Saturday for lighting during tb e playing of the cup final attended to explain their conduct. The referee, who was unable to attend, wrote stating that he was not in a position to say definitely which of the players struck the first blow. The two players in question each' alleged that the other struck the first oiow. Pollock adding that in consequence of a blow he received on the head he was not exactly clear as to what happened. After some discussion it was decided, on the motion of Mr Kit to, that both players be suspended tor throe playing Saturdays next season.
