UNION SECRETARY CONVICTED
ON CHARGE OF SEDITIOUS INTENTION. Press Association. .PALMERSTON N-, August 1. Mr‘Hewitt. S.M., gave judgment today in the charge against Robinson, secretary of the Flaxworkers’ Union, for expressing a seditious intention in a circular pledging signatories to strike on the coming into operation of the Compulsion Act. A fine of £25 and costs was inflicted.
