“GERMAN” DRAPERY
A STATEMENT DENIED

DUNEDIN. August 1. A statement was made by Mr Dickson (Parnell) in the House on Saturday that a large shipment of drapery bad been received _ in Dunedin from Germany via America. The secretary of the Master Drapers' Association telegraphed to the Minister for Customs expressing resentment at the statement and asking for the fullest investigation. Mr Myers has replied stating that he has given instructions for a thorough investigation and adding that he has now been informed that the consignment in question was not for a Dunedin firm.
