ADDRESS BY REFORM CANDIDATE. Press Association. TAUMARNUI, July 10. Mr F. W. Shortland, solicitor, Taumarunui, a “Reform’’ candidate, addressed a. large gathering at Taumarunui last night. He advocated criminal law amendment, subsidies to backblock* settlers requiring medical assistance, and permanent roads alongside railway* being formed. A vote of thanks w«i carried.
