Krassovsky, tbo former Commissioner of Police, gave evidence that ho was asked to investigate the nmr dor. At first he reported that tbo murder had been committed by a- band of robbers, lie was then asked to investigate tbo possibility of ritual murder. Ho followed many clues, and all pointed to Vera, whose boy Eugene Cbeberiak had been friendly with Yuschinsky. Vera always told Krassovsky that Yuschinsky had been murdered* by his parents or was the. t ictira of ritual crime. Krassovsky stated that about tin.time the “Black Hundred” agitation arose against him, and he was dismiss* ed at the cud of 1911. Ho continued inquiring on his own account.
